Consultation and Supervision

As a licensed clinical psychologist, former college teacher, certified EFT Couple Therapist and ICEEFT approved supervisory candidate I provide:

• Individual and group consultation and supervision for therapists who wish to strengthen and enhance clinical skills and competencies in work with couple, family and individual clients.
• Individual and group consultation and supervision for therapists seeking to enhance skills in EFT couple/family therapy in their work towards ICEEFT certification in these areas.

Philosophy of Supervision 

Grounded in attachment theory, the EFT Couple and Family Therapy model is both systemic and experiential. Supervision is a collaborative process that supports the supervise’s goals and aspirations. I help my supervises to:

• Develop comfort and safety in our working alliance based on transparency and strength based feedback.
• Utilize innate ability to attune to emotional processes within themselves and in the therapy room.
• Master the  theoretical/conceptual framework in EFT Therapy in order to understand and work effectively with the couple’s negative cycle in order to  facilitate corrective emotional experiences at a later point.
• Create and facilitate lasting changes in couples, families and individuals through experiential practice including role play and video tape review. Safe exploration of the impact of self-of therapist in strengthening and facilitating therapy outcome.
